Tess Thistleflower Blackberry Thropple is a former hare of the long patrol, who was later named the Protector of Redwall.
Tess is a decendant of Maudie Thropple, and inherited her talents for troublemaking and boxing. At twelve seasons, she was sent on a mission with Jackleap Strongfoot (Jacki) and their horses, Candlesmoke and Diamondback. The four were sent to Redwall Abbey to protect it from the Firey Sable Zanog Gonza's horde.
